In March Senator Folmer had the opportunity to meet with one of the 48th
districts most outstanding constituents, Maria Jiang. Maria is a senior at
Wilson Area High School, and was named Pennsylvania's Outstanding Young Woman

June 14, 2011 - Members of the Pennsylvania National Guard were
at the state capitol, and Senator Folmer had the opportunity to meet with them,
and thank them for their service.

May 24, 2011 - Senator Folmer had the opportunity to meet with
Lickdale Elementary (Northern Lebanon School District) students participating in
the PAECT Student Technology Showcase at the capitol.

May 9, 2011 - Senator Folmer recently had the opportunity to
meet Mr. Harry Adams, a veteran of World War II.

In November, Senator Folmer visited the Webelos Cub Scouts of Pack 85,
(Elizabethtown) at their weekly den meeting to help them complete requirements
for their Citizen Activity Badge. Senator Folmer discussed the importance of the
Constitution, the importance of voting by each citizen, and what the day to day
life of a state senator is like. He also answered questions from the boys. Pack
85 is chartered to St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Elizabethtown, and is
open to boys in 1st through 5th grades.

Susan Staub, President of Pennsylvanians for Right to Work,
presented Senator Folmer (right from podium) with the Statesman of the Year
Award for his sponsorship of Senate Resolution 61, a measure opposing the
federal "Card Check" program.
